Did you wear your green today?

Andrew has been really excited about St. Patricks Day. It's funny the things they start learning about once they are in school. He has been reminding me for weeks that he needed to wear green on St. Patricks Day. So I decided to try to make an Irish dinner. I had never made any special meal before, so I thought I would go for it. I made corned beef and cabbage of course. I was expecting it to be pretty terrible. I will not say that I loved it, but it wasn't awful. It was edible. We also had green kool-aid. That was Tobi's contribution. He loves kool-aid.

Then the boys and I made a green cake using pistachio pudding. Andrew loves to help me cook. He is my sous chef. Andrew and Josh mostly love frosting, they usually eat off all the frosting and leave the cake.

This is Bailey and I in our green clothes. Andrew kept telling me this morning that I was not wearing green and that the leprechauns were going to pinch me or bite me. I guess he got that from school.

Ok Maressa, I am scared! 2 posts in one day????? Good job. We had our "Irish feast" last night. I am with you, while it is not that bad, I am glad to eat it only 1 or 2 times a year. Glad you didnt get pinched by the Leprechaun. We had green mashed potatoes tonight. That was as green as my meal got.

Yeah, you have a blog! First of all, your boys look exactly alike. Looking at Josh feels like I am looking at Andrew when we moved two years ago. And second, you do not look like you just had a baby. I'm sure you are sick of hearing that, but it is true! Third, I think you, Ang, and I need a fun weekend! So, until that happens, keep up the fun posts!!

Maressa, hey there! What a small small world that Tobi and Scott ended up being such good friends. I spoke w/Brooke Watkins a few times last year when we were both planning our 10-yrs. All these connections. I'm assuming you went to yours? Anyway, fun to see your cute fam. YOu haven't changed a bit. Still an image of beauty! Fun to hear from you. Tell Tobi hi...good memories from the days at Chatsworth. One last thing...your food looks delish; wish I had come to your house!

Ok seriously, I can't believe you whipped up that corn beef and cabbage. Seriously impressed!! As festive as I like to be... I don't know if I could make that. I'm going to live through your great traditions!!!

maressa, I am so glad you have a blog. I am way better at communicating via blogging than making actual phone calls. I always remember at midnight or while I'm in the middle of something else. Ugh. Ditto the message about Josh, at first I thought it was Andrew...and Bailey is beautiful, as is her mother, of course.
