Bailey's Blessing Day

Yesterday was a very special day. Tobi gave Bailey a blessing, he was joined by my Dad, Bryan Kenitzer, and the Bishopric. My Grandma is here visiting, so it was so nice that she could be here for this special day. My Aunt Gayle, and my cousin Mark Hollingshaus came, along with my cousin Bruce Edwards and his new fiance Kristy. After sacrament meeting, we may have left a tad early to go to my parents house and have brunch. I made some yummy food, and I plan to post some recipes soon! All I want to do lately is cook and bake! We had a nice afternoon with my family.

Bailey wore a dress that my mom made for me to wear when I was blessed. My great grandma tatted the lace that is on the botom hem of the dress. I wore this dress, and so did all my siblings, yes, including my brother! Tobi did not go for Andrew or Joshua wearing it, so I am so glad I finally got my girl so she could wear it.

Back row is: Tobi, Josh, my dad, my mom, cousin Bruce and fiance Kristy, cousin Mark.

Front row: Me and Bailey, Andrew, my Grandma Edwards.

Yeah for the pictures! They are beautiful! Shoot, i forgot to look for the ring. And the delicious food you told me about seems to have not been included in the pictures. Please post the recipes or send them to me. Mmm. I am so excited to try the apple crescent things. It looks like a marvelous day. We are sorry we weren't there with you. And I am sure all your adoring fans, like myself, will be so excited for the new post.

That was one of the sweetest blessings that Tobi gave his little Bailey. However, I'm a little disappointed that he didn't mention the Fisher Girls in it as people who love her but we will get over it! wink, wink!

The kids and I loved her long dress and the boys had noticed Bailey wearing a ring before Tobi even blessed her - love that!

Thanks for being a good friend to me and my family! We love you! And I am so glad you started this blog so I can see your beautiful pictures! Andrew and Josh look SOOO grown up!

Maressa! Congratulations on your baby girl! I never thought I would say this after 3 boys but Girls are fun too. We are so glad we have Reese. She is such a girly girl and she is spoiled rotten. Bailey is gorgeous and your boys are so big. I'm so glad my mom told me about your blog so I can check in on your cute family. -Carrie

I can't wait for more recipes from Maressa-they are always so yummy. The blessing dress is beautiful, but I can't believe you Dad let your mom dress your brother in it. Stephen, like Tobi, would never go for that. I enjoyed your mom's testimony on Sunday too.

Oh my gosh, Maressa, your little family is so cute. Loved seeing the photos. Don't blame Tobi for not going w/the blessing dress on your sons, but it is beautiful, and what an awesome tradition. I hope I follow in your footsteps and have a girl for #3. Congrats on the wonderful day.

I love the blessing dress story. My sister had some lady in her ward crochet Maci's and I loved it. I hope I can use it again one day. Your boys are so big and cute. They look so much alike. It's weird to not see Emily in the pictures though.

Also, I made the chocolate/oreo cake again last night. As I reading your recipes again I read you were going to try the chocolate cake with the mint icing. Well, when I was at the grocery store last night (Tom Thumb...aka Safeway), I saw mint oreo's and thought that would be yummy. You should find a way to incorporate those with it too. YUMM-O!!
